Mallorca vs Real Madrid live: Confirmed teams, full lineups in La Liga as Mbappe starts

Mallorca and Real Madrid have confirmed their starting teams for their meeting at the San Moix in La Liga on Saturday.

Victory would move Madrid a point behind leaders Barcelona with eight matches of their season remaining. Barca then play their game in hand at Atletico Madrid on Saturday (20:00 BST).

Third-bottom Mallorca need a draw to move level on points with Elche immediately outside the relegation zone.

Captain and centre-back Antonio Raillo is out with a knock for Mallorca, who are also without goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom.

On-loan Roma centre-half Marash Kumbulla and forward Takuma Asano return on the bench.

The hosts’ five international players – Vedat Muriqi, Martin Valjent, Samuel Costa, Johan Mojica and Jan Virgili – did not suffer any issues with their countries, which Demichelis called “important”.

“Before they left, I asked them to understand the situation we’re in so they could return as soon as possible,” he explained.

“They all did and they were always in communication with us… [they] are available to be included; it’s a personal decision now.”

Spain Under-21 winger Virgili is the only one of the five not to start.

Mallorca starting XI: Leo Roman, Pablo Maffeo, Martin Valjent, Omar Mascarell, Johan Mojica, Samuel Costa, Manu Morlanes, Pablo Torre, Sergi Darder, Zito Luvumbo, Vedat Muriqi

Top scorer Kylian Mbappe is fit again after a knee injury, while 22-year-old midfielder Manuel Angel makes his full debut.

Trent Alexander Arnold, Alvaro Carreras and Eduardo Camavinga also come in.

Midfielder Federico Valverde is suspended for Madrid but Eder Militao return from a long-term injury on the bench, as does David Alaba on his comeback.

“In top form, he’s arguably the best centre-back in the world,” head coach Alvaro Arbeloa said of Militao.

Midfielder Jude Bellingham was not risked by England but is again among the Madrid substitutes.

Arbeloa admitted that winger Vinicius Junior, who is initially rested on the bench, is “tired, as expected” after playing for Brazil.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (quad) and midfielder Dani Ceballos (calf) are sidelined.
