Barcelona: Rashford passed fit for Chelsea clash
The England forward is available to play at Stamford Bridge.
Marcus Rashford has been included in Barcelona’s squad to face Chelsea in the Champions League after recovering from an illness.
Rashford missed Saturday’s 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao due to a bout of flu, but resumed training on Sunday ahead of Tuesday’s game at Stamford Bridge.
The forward, on loan from Manchester United, was subsequently named in Barca’s travelling party on Monday.
A post on Barcelona’s X (formerly Twitter) account read: “Marcus Rashford has been declared fully fit and is available for Hansi Flick ahead of tomorrow’s match against Chelsea.”
Rashford has enjoyed a strong start to his career at Barca, registering 13 goal involvements in all competitions. He has scored six and provided seven assists.
Barcelona have taken seven points from their opening four Champions League games, with the Catalan club 11th in the league phase table, ahead of Chelsea on goal difference.
