Carabao Cup semi-final draw: Chelsea face potential clash with Arsenal as Man City draw Newcastle
The draw has been made for the final four of the competition as Wembley awaits
The Carabao Cup semi-final draw has been made with three of the competition’s final four decided.
Chelsea booked their place with a win over League One side Cardiff on Tuesday night, even though Enzo Maresca had to deploy some of his big guns to get past the giants.
Manchester City will also compete for a place in the final, after overcoming Brentford in the pouring rain on Wednesday, with Pep Guardiola opting to heavily rotate his side.
Newcastle also squeezed through to the semi-finals, although it took a stoppage-time winner to down Fulham at St James’ Park.
Only Arsenal or Crystal Palace are yet to confirm their place in the final four of the Carabao Cup. They face off at the Emirates next Tuesday.
The semi-final first legs will be played on the week of 12 January, with the second legs on the week of 2 February.
