EFF Daily: June 20th updates
Sunday’s Euro 2020 action will begin the final round of group fixtures.
And it will be Italy who kick off MW3, facing off with Wales. Roberto Mancini’s side became the first side to qualify for the knockout rounds last time out with a comfortable 3-0 win over Switzerland.
Wales, meanwhile, are close to securing second spot in Group A, but could still slip down to 3rd if Switzerland win and they lose to Italy.
This, of course, then brings us on to our second game of the day, where Turkey and Switzerland face off. The former have little left to play for after losing their opening two ties without scoring a single goal. Switzerland, meanwhile, still have a good chance of qualifying if they win.
EFF Daily: Injury news
Italy: Giorgio Chiellini had to be withdrawn after 23 minutes vs Switzerland last time out. When speaking earlier this week Roberto Mancini hoped it was nothing serious. But with Italy already through, perhaps gli Azzurri will not take any risks with the defender ahead of the round of 16, so it may be worth not picking him anyway.

Alessandro Florenzi missed Italy’s last game vs Switzerland through injury. So again, even if he is back fit on Sunday – which has not been confirmed at this time – Mancini may opt not to risk him before tougher games later in the tournament.
Marco Verratti did not make the bench last time out but could do vs Wales. He is also probably one to avoid in your EFF team for now, however.
Wales: Wales have no injury concerns ahead of facing Italy on Sunday.
Switzerland: Switzerland have no injury issues at the time of writing.
Turkey: Turkey have no injury issues ahead of their last group outing vs Switzerland.
Top 3 players to pick: Immobile, Bonucci, Rodriguez
Ciro Immobile, Italy (10m)
With just two games taking place today, your choices for EFF are somewhat limited.
But, perhaps your best option of the day will be to include Ciro Immobile in your side again.
The striker has had a solid two opening games which have seen him score two and provide one assist.
And with Wales of a fairly similar level to Switzerland, who Italy beat 3-0, Immobile should once again be involved in the goals this time around.
Leonardo Bonucci, Italy (5.5m)
With Chiellini potentially sidelined for Sunday’s game, it is almost certain that Leonardo Bonucci will be starting vs Wales.
Leonardo Spinazzola could also be a decent option. But with this game of less importance to Italy Mancini could opt to rest the left-back ahead of tougher games.
And whilst you could say the same for Bonucci, it is hard to see Mancini wanting to be without both of his first-choice centre-backs for a game.
Italy have a superb defensive record and should have little issue keeping Wales quiet.
Ricardo Rodriguez, Switzerland (5.5m)
The final player you should look to sign today is Ricardo Rodriguez.
Switzerland’s final group tie comes against a Turkey side yet to score this summer, so a clean sheet does seem likely.
But Rodriguez is also fairly attack-minded and can be deployed as a left-wing-back for his country. He is also a pretty decent set-piece taker, which could help him earn some attacking contributions.
EFF Daily Captain of the day: Ciro Immobile, Italy
With just two games on Sunday, there are not an awful lot of exciting choices for your captain.
But if you do wish to pick a captain from Sunday, Immobile is perhaps your safest option for a decent return.
