Liverpool were looking to restore an element of calm to their Premier League title charge when they hosted struggling Wolves.

The Reds had looked relatively unflustered for much of the season but were certainly riled by Everton in a fiery Merseyside derby on Wednesday night.

The Toffees snatched a last-gasp equaliser in a 2-2 draw before Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones were sent-off following a confrontation.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff were also dismissed.

Wolves had enjoyed back-to-back 2-0 wins, over Aston Villa in the league and at Blackburn in the FA Cup.
