A win for Aston Villa tonight may be enough for them to secure a place in the Champions League round of 16.
It has been a successful return to Europe’s top table for Villa, whose 3-2 win at RB Leipzig in their last game in the competition saw them surge up the new-look table.
They head to Monte Carlo on the back of a morale-boosting 2-2 draw at Arsenal on Saturday after being 2-0 down.
Monaco are 16th in the Champions League table and looking good for a playoff spot.
They have not won in four games in all competitions, however, and suffered defeats to Benfica and Arsenal in their last two Champions League outings.
