An update on the wellbeing of sidelined Liverpool star Diogo Jota has been forthcoming late on Friday.
And the news will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of the Reds faithful.
Versatile attacker Jota, of course, has not taken to the pitch in any capacity since mid-October, owing to a serious calf injury suffered during a meeting with Manchester City.
Ensuing medical tests pointed towards a likely return date of February, with the former Wolves standout, in turn, having been forced to sit out Portugal’s World Cup adventure in Qatar.

If the latest word stemming from the media this evening is anything to go by, though, then Jurgen Klopp could well have Jota back at his disposal some way in advance of his originally pinpointed return date.
As per a report from O Jogo in the 26-year-old’s home country of Portugal, optimism is spreading amongst the medical staff at Anfield that Jota will be back on the pitch ‘sooner than expected’.
