Mauricio Pochettino reveals when he expects Romeo Lavia to make his Chelsea debut

Romeo Lavia became the eighth signing of the summer for Chelsea as he arrived from Southampton in a deal worth £55 million.

The Blues went from being pretty weak in midfield to having options like Enzo Fernandez, Moisés Caicedo and now Lavia.

However, Chelsea fans may have to wait a while before they see Lavia following Pochettino’s latest update…

Pochettino: “He is not quite ready yet…”

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Lavia is a few weeks away from making his debut.

The Belgian midfielder needs to work on his fitness before being ready to play.

Pochettino said: “He is not quite ready yet and needs a few weeks before he will be involved.

“We need to wait a couple of weeks before he’s ready.”
