Brentford boss Thomas Frank has conceded that he would be willing to sell Ivan Toney in the coming transfer windows ‘if the right price is there and if the time is right’ amid ongoing speculation surrounding his Brentford future.
The England striker, who found the net 20 times last season, is returning to training following his ban for breaching the FA’s gambling code, though he is not allowed to play competitive football again until January.
With his contract up in 2025, there have been strong rumours of a departure either in January or in the summer, with Arsenal and Chelsea among those thought to be interested in the Englishman.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Brentford boss Frank admitted that a deal could be struck for Toney, but that the England man wouldn’t come cheap.
“We are a selling club if the right price is there and if the time is right”, he explained. “I think if they have developed well with us and been on the journey. They have proven to be good enough to play at the top clubs, then they can go at the right price.”
“Yes, this does apply to Toney. I understand why there are a lot of rumours about him. For me, I think he is one of the best strikers. I don’t see many in the world that are better than him. He scored 20 goals in the Premier League last year. Imagine him in a top team. He would easily score 20-25 goals a season. I think he is composed, a good finisher, and has a top mentality.”

Previously, Toney has claimed that he would favour a move to Arsenal or Liverpool, but it is believed that Chelsea are the club with the most concrete interest in the striker as things stand, with the Blues on the hunt for a Premier League proven goalscorer after finding the net just five times in their first five games of the season.
