Chelsea are in discussions with Arsenal star Folarin Balogun over a potential £50m move across London this summer as they look to find more firepower to lead their line.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted that more forwards were needed at Stamford Bridge following defeat to West Ham, despite the arrivals of Christopher Nkunku (now injured) and Nicolas Jackson already this summer.
“It is not easy in this moment to find the right profile”, the Argentine explained. “We are in the process, working to see if we can add some players in this area. But it is a job that is not easy for the club. For sure, they are working really hard to add some players.
Now, the London Evening Standard claim that they have identified Folarin Balogun as the man to answer their issues, with the Arsenal youngster expected to leave north London this summer and not having featured in either matchday squad so far this season.
The striker, who recently became the spearhead of the USMNT attack, scored an impressive 22 goals and grabbed 3 assists during his temporary spell at Stade des Reims last season, and began to demonstrate the massive talent that had been evident to those watching his development in the Arsenal academy.

And it is reported that ‘the 22-year-old is being considered by Chelsea’, with the striker himself open to the move across London, though Arsenal are sticking firm to their £50m demands, a fee which has seen interest from the likes of Fulham, West Ham and Inter Milan all come and go.
