Premier League giants Chelsea have, on Friday, moved forward with an opening offer for a new goalkeeper, it has been revealed.
The situation between the posts, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in west London across much of the summer to date.
This comes with the Chelsea brass having opted to part with not one, but both of the club’s options between the posts, namely Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
In their place has come Brighton & Hove Albion standout Robert Sanchez, who, earlier this week, was confirmed as Mauricio Pochettino’s new no.1.

Further reinforcements, though, are needed, to provide backup for Sanchez.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then it would appear that a leading target to fill this void, on Friday, has been identified.
The proposal in question is understood to have come in around the £15 million mark.
Negotiations, in turn, have been kicked into gear between the respective boards at Stamford Bridge and the Gillette Stadium, in the hopes of striking a deal before the summer is out.
