Premier League outfit Burnley have opened negotiations with their counterparts at Dutch giants Ajax, over a deal for a highly-regarded up-and-coming attacker, according to reports.
The player in the sights of the powers that be at Turf Moor? Mohamed Daramy.
For those not familiar with his name, Daramy is a versatile 21-year-old winger who generally operates from the left, but is also more than capable of taking his place on the opposite flank, or even in a central role.
The youngster is a fully established Danish international, having already lined out for his country at senior level on seven occasions.
This past season, Daramy was farmed out on loan, returning to his home country with heavyweights Copenhagen.
And the gifted wide-man went on to impress, notching nine goals and seven assists across 41 appearances in all competitions.

As per the reliable Fabrizio Romano:
‘Burnley have opened talks to sign Mohamed Daramy from Ajax.’
Burnley’s sudden push for Daramy’s signature comes at the direct request of boss Vincent Kompany, who is understood to have identified the Ajax man as a ‘top target’.
Any deal struck would come in the form of a permanent transfer, with talks now ‘ongoing’ between the two clubs.
