As Man City interest fades, Manchester United consider fresh Harry Kane approach
Manchester United are showing an interest in Harry Kane, according to a fresh report on Monday.
For much of the 2021 summer transfer window, Manchester City were the side that looked as though they could swoop for Harry Kane.
And whilst no move for Kane was forthcoming in the summer, it was expected that City, who still lack a proper no.9, would come back in for Kane in 2022.
However, as 101 covered recently, Manchester City look to have turned their attentions to Erling Haaland, with The Times reporting that Pep Guardiola and co. have a deal in place that would see a total outlay of £100m for the Norwegian’s services in the summer. This would consist of his £64m release clause, as well as a significant signing on fee to both Haaland and agent Mino Raiola.

This looked to have been a big blow for Kane, whose Tottenham side are once again looking set to miss out on the Champions League.
Manchester United need a striker
Regardless of whether or not Man United do end up signing Kane, it is clear the Red Devils need a new striker in the summer.
United currently only have Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo is out and out strikers.
The former of that duo is out of contract in the summer, whilst Ronaldo is 37 years of age.
