Tip of the Day: Ignore the Champions League and bank on this League Two double

There are some big European games tonight but we've looked further down the pyramid for our Tip of the Day

Tip of the Day: Ignore the Champions League and bank on this League Two double

Tuesday’s Tip of the Day sees us dip into League Two for a tasty-looking double.

Our first bet is for Chesterfield to beat Colchester. The Spireites sit in seventh, inside the play-off spots, and are strong at home.

This season they have lost just once at the SMH Group Stadium and have also claimed four points from clashes with high fliers York and Barnet.

Colchester have yet to win away and lie 20th, a point above the relegation zone. They have not tasted victory in eight games in all competitions.

The second half of the double is for Northampton to beat Tranmere.

The Cobblers started slowly but have been much improved since the takeover by a consortium that includes former Brazil, AC Milan and Chelsea striker Alexandre Pato.

Away games at York and Grimsby resulted in four points and they will fancy their chances of seeing off a Tranmere side that have not won in the league for six weeks.

Tuesday’s Tip of the Day (odds are from bet365 and correct as of 11am on Tuesday, October 20)

Chesterfield to beat Colchester @ 4/7

Northampton to beat Tranmere at 5/4

Combined odds of 2.53/1

A £10 stake will return £35.36
