Leeds can go six points clear of rivals Manchester United when the pair meet in the Premier League at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s side go into the match in eighth place and have only lost once all season; while Michael Carrick’s visitors have only won once and start the day in 14th place.
United’s haul of six points is their lowest after six league games since 1986-87 under Ron Atkinson (4) – when Sir Alex Ferguson was sent for.
For a second consecutive season, the Red Devils have no clean sheets in their first six games, the first time they’ve done so in back-to-back campaigns since 1930-31 and 1931-32.
“They have made a huge investment in assembling their squad over a number of years and have quality all over the pitch,” said Farke in today’s programme.
“We go into the match expecting nothing other than a very difficult game. We know how much this game means to or fans. It means more. It’s a proper rivalry and we will be doing everything to get a victory.”
