Preview for Portugal v Norway
Portugal will look to maintain their perfect start to the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League when they welcome Norway to the Estadio do Dragao on Sunday night.
Jorge Jesus’ side sit top of League A Group 4 with nine points from their opening three matches, while Norway are third with three points after suffering back-to-back defeats.
Portugal have made an excellent start to their Nations League title defence, winning each of their opening three matches to take control of Group 4.
The reigning champions began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Wales before travelling to Oslo and beating Norway 2-1 three days later.
Portugal then made it three wins from three with an entertaining 4-2 victory away against Denmark on Thursday.
That result came amid significant drama surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the Portugal camp following a disagreement with Jesus before the Denmark game.
Norway, meanwhile, arrive in Portugal looking to halt a run of two successive defeats.
Stale Solbakken’s side began their first League A campaign with an impressive 3-2 win over Denmark, but their results have since taken a turn.
A 2-1 home defeat against Portugal was followed by another loss by the same scoreline against Wales on Thursday.
Those results leave Norway third in Group 4 with three points, level with second-placed Denmark but six behind leaders Portugal.

Team News for Portugal v Norway
Portugal will once again be without Ronaldo following his departure from the national team camp.
Goncalo Ramos has taken advantage of his opportunity in attack, scoring in each of Portugal’s last two matches, and should retain his place through the middle against Norway.
Bruno Fernandes overcame an injury concern to feature against Denmark and produced an excellent performance, so the midfielder should continue in the starting XI.
Jesus could still freshen up his team following Thursday’s game, with Joao Neves and Joao Felix among those pushing to start.
Francisco Conceicao remains a doubt because of a thigh problem and will need to be assessed before a decision is made over his availability.
Norway will be forced into at least one change after Torbjorn Lysaker Heggem was sent off in the defeat to Wales.
The defender is suspended for Sunday’s game, potentially opening the door for Marcus Pedersen to come into the back four.
Antonio Nusa and Thelo Aasgaard are among those pushing to come into the side as Solbakken considers changes following the disappointing performance against Wales.

Where to Watch Portugal v Norway: TV and online streams

Prediction for Portugal v Norway
Norway have enough attacking quality to make this a difficult evening for Portugal, particularly with Haaland, Odegaard and Nusa among Solbakken’s options.
However, their defensive problems have become increasingly costly, with Norway conceding twice in each of their three Nations League fixtures.
Portugal have coped well with the disruption surrounding Ronaldo and showed against Denmark that they still possess considerable attacking quality without their record goalscorer.
