Clubs will discover their next opponents in the 2026/27 EFL Cup when the draw for the third round takes place on Wednesday.

Premier League teams who are involved in European competition this season join the Carabao Cup at this stage.

The draw will take place on Wednesday, August 26 after the second round tie between Preston North End and Everton.

The game at Deepdale kicks off at 20:00 BST (15:00 ET / 12:00PT) and will go straight to penalties if the scoreline is level after 90 minutes.

That means the earliest the draw could take place is approximately 21:50 BST (16:50 ET / 13:50 PT), depending on added time and whether spot kicks are required.
