Harry Kane has confirmed he is set to open talks with Bayern Munich regarding an extension to his contract.
England captain Kane has enjoyed three hugely prolific seasons with Bayern since his move from Tottenham in 2023.
He has scored 146 goals in 147 games for Die Roten, winning two Bundesliga titles and a DFB-Pokal crown in his time with the club.
The 33-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the coming season and, while Kane insisted both he and the club are calm about the situation, he revealed discussions will begin in the near future.
“I only have one year left on my contract, so now is the time to talk about it,” Kane said, according to AZ.
“We’ll talk about it next week or the week after. Both sides are very relaxed.”
Bayern face Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday before opening their Bundesliga campaign against Stuttgart the following Friday.
