Reigning Premier League champions Arsenal have released their new Adidas away shirt as part of the club’s kit for the 2026/27 season.

The shirt, which was announced in July, is a throwback to the Bruised Banana look Arsenal wore between 1991 and 1993 and celebrates the “stories that live behind the shirt”.

Ian Wright, who was a prolific Gunners hero during his time at the club between 1991 and 1998, is shown mimicking the signing of his first contract with Arsenal as part of the promotional material.

Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, Chloe Kelly and musician Little Simz are among the stars to have shown off the kit. Here are the key details on the release.

The kit has a navy base and a graphic design inspired by the geometric pattern that made the original so distinctive, according to the club.

Yellow tones accompany a crew-neck collar with red and yellow accents. “We’re all looking forward to playing in this kit,” defender Calafiori said.

“We know the impact the Bruised Banana has had on our supporters; you only have to see how many still wear it today to understand how much it means to the club.

“We’re proud to wear something with such history attached to it and use that as inspiration as we continue to push ourselves forward.

“It’s our turn to create our own legacy at the club. We’ve enjoyed so many amazing moments with our supporters but we’re hungry for more.

“We want to keep winning, keep creating special memories together and give our supporters even more reasons to be proud.”

Now a popular pundit, Wright was Arsenal’s top scorer in each of the seasons the Bruised Banana shirt featured in.

Arsenal won the FA Cup and EFL Cup in the second of those campaigns.

“I just couldn’t say no to the shirt,” the 27-year-old then adds.
