Real Madrid and Girona have confirmed their starting teams for their meeting at the Bernabeu in La Liga on Friday.

Los Blancos have suffered consecutive 2-1 defeats, losing at Mallorca in the top flight last Sunday before being beaten by visitors Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Girona are seven points above the relegation zone with eight matches remaining after beating Villarreal 1-0 at home on Monday.

Real Madrid confirmed team vs Girona

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (quad) and winger Rodrygo (knee) are sidelined for Madrid but Dani Ceballos is on the bench as the midfielder continues his comeback from a half injury, as is left-back Ferland Mendy, who has had a hamstring problem.

Jude Bellingham makes his first start following an injury that led to England deciding not to risk the midfielder during the most recent international break.

Defenders Eder Militao and Raul Asensio start following injuries. Dani Carvajal, Fran Garcia, Eduardo Camavinga and Brahim Diaz also come in.

Winger Franco Mastantuono is suspended.
