Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime as they host Bournemouth at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won four consecutive league matches, overcoming Tottenham, Chelsea, Brighton and Everton to move beyond the 70-point mark. That run has opened up a nine-point gap to Manchester City, although they have played a game more.

The Gunners have also been formidable at home, winning seven straight matches in all competitions at the Emirates, with six of those victories featuring at least two goals scored.

Bournemouth arrive with an impressive unbeaten streak of their own, having avoided defeat in their last 11 Premier League matches.

However, seven of those games have ended in draws, including stalemates against West Ham, Sunderland, Brentford, Burnley and Manchester United.

Andoni Iraola’s side remain within touching distance of the European places and have been good away from home, going five matches unbeaten on the road, although their last two away fixtures have both finished goalless.

Team news for Arsenal v Bournemouth

Arsenal will assess Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard after both picked up knocks in midweek.

Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes returned to action recently, while Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber remain doubts.

Eberechi Eze, Mikel Merino and Piero Hincapie are set to miss out.

Bournemouth are expected to have Eli Junior Kroupi available despite a recent international withdrawal, with the teenager closing in on a 10-goal Premier League season.

Tyler Adams and Lewis Cook are being monitored, while Justin Kluivert and Julio Soler remain sidelined.
