Arsenal’s Premier League title bid took them to Nottingham Forest on January 17.

Mikel Arteta’s side were chasing a quadruple of league, Champions League, EFL Cup and FA Cup.

Forest were aiming to strengthen their attempt to stay in the top flight, having won their previous league game 2-1 at West Ham.

Forest were, however, knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round at Championship side Wrexham six days earlier.
