Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills: Preview, prediction and odds

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills preview

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Tampa Bay Buccaneers counterpart Baker Mayfield will be attempting to help their teams return to winning ways in the NFL and enhance 6-3 records when they meet at Highmark Stadium on Sunday.

The Bills lost 30-13 last Sunday to a Miami Dolphins team who had been 2-7, while the Bucs failed to win a quarter in their 28-23 defeat against the New England Patriots.

“I have to Walkie Talkie to him because he’s so damn tall, so I can’t really have a face-to-face conversation with him,” Mayfield said of his friendship with Allen.

“In Buffalo, it’s cold, it’s rainy. Even though he’s 6ft 10in, his hands are small, so he’d better wear his gloves.”

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen jogs off the field with his teammates during a preseason game.

Allen describes Mayfield as “awesome”. “I love the guy,” he added. “To see how his career has progressed and the adversity that he’s fought through, he’s playing some really, really dang good football right now.

“I’m a big fan of his. Anytime I get to watch games, I’m watching what he does, because he’s very fun to watch.”

The pair have won one game each against each other, with Allen averaging 238.1 passing yards and Mayfield 235.0.

Mayfield passed for four touchdowns across those games. Allen recorded two passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns.
