WATCH: Bryan Mbeumo heads Manchester United in front at Spurs as Premier League Player of the Month continues excellent form
Bryan Mbeumo continued his excellent form for Manchester United by heading the Red Devils in front in the first half against Tottenham.
The summer signing from Brentford has hit his stride for United after winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for October and started November in similar style with a smart header in North London.
Having caused problems for the Spurs backline in what was another poor home display in the first half by the hosts, the Cameroonian had already gone close with a few chances and looked the most likely to break the deadlock.
That deserved breakthrough finally came just after the half-hour mark when, after failing to guide a header on target from Patrick Dorgu’s cross, United recycled the ball to allow Mbeumo to head in at the far post from Amad Diallo’s cross.
The goal was the 26-year-old’s fifth goal of the campaign and fourth in as many games for the Red Devils, who are searching for their fourth win in five matches.
It was also Mbeumo’s fifth goal he has scored against Spurs, having regularly found the net against the North Londoners during his time at Brentford.
