Nottingham Forest v Chelsea Match Preview

Ange Postecoglou’s troubled start to life as Nottingham Forest manager continues with a tricky looking game against Chelsea. The former Tottenham boss has yet to win in seven matches and Forest come into the weekend just one place above the bottom three.

Postecoglou has also lost all four Premier League matches in his career against Chelsea.

The Blues have had a mixed start to the season and will be looking to improve their away form. Enzo Maresca’s side have won just three of their last 14 on the road in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest v Chelsea team news

Forest will be without full-back Ola Aina, who has a hamstring injury, so former Arsenal man Oleksandr Zinchenko could start if he is fit enough.

Midfielder Douglas Luiz is a doubt with a hamstring issue of his own.

Chelsea remain without playmaker Cole Palmer who has a groin injury and remains a big loss.

He has now been ruled out for another six weeks.

Maresca has many injury problems after international duty, with Liam Delap (hamstring), Levi Colwill (knee) and Mykhaylo Mudryk long-term absentees.

Enzo Fernandez is a doubt with a knee problem, while Reece James had to pull out of the England squad and is a doubt. Maresca himself is banned from the touchline but defender Trevoh Chalobah is back from a suspension.

Prediction

Forest’s woes have got to come to and end some time and Chelsea’s combination of injuries and poor away form may just open the door enough for Big Ange to finally get a win.
