Colts sign ex-Raiders defender three days after Week 5 blowout against Las Vegas
The Colts have made a move to improve their options at linebacker.
Germaine Pratt did not feature for the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5 as they were blown out by the Indianapolis Colts.
Now the linebacker is a member of the Colts.
Indianapolis agreed to sign Pratt to a one-year deal, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, on Wednesday following his release by the Raiders on Monday.
Pratt was a healthy scratch for Las Vegas last Sunday as the Raiders slumped to a 40-6 loss in Indianapolis, a defeat that dropped them to 1-4 and saw the Colts improve to 4-1.
In four games with the Raiders, Pratt registered 25 total tackles and a pair of pass breakups.
Pratt will now likely start at linebacker next to Zaire Franklin for the Colts, with the move seeing the former Cincinnati Bengal reunite with Lou Anarumo, who was the defensive coordinator for the Bengals from 2019 to 2024.
The Colts face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.
