Mosquera reportedly set for Arsenal medical
Cristhian Mosquera's move to Arsenal is almost done, with the defender set for a medical at the club.
Cristhian Mosquera is reportedly set to undergo a medical at Arsenal on Wednesday ahead of a transfer from Valencia.
Arsenal are reported to have exchanged documents with Valencia on a deal worth €15million plus add-ons for the Spain Under-23 international.
Mosquera will provide much-needed cover in defence for Arsenal with his ability to play at both centre-back and right-back.
The 21-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal with the Gunners.
He told Radio MARCA Valencia on Monday: “Valencia is my home and it always will be. I arrived when I was 12 and I’m leaving as a grown man.

“I’m a little sad because I’ve spent my whole life here. Decisions in football are like that. Now a new era begins. It’s exciting, but I’m leaving sad.”
It is expected to be a busy week for Arsenal on the transfer front, with winger Noni Madueke poised to join in a £52million move from London rivals Chelsea, while the Gunners are said to be edging closer to signing Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.
