Canal+ are set to release a controversial programme on Wednesday night in France in a show called Jesus Football Club.
The aim of the show is focused on the relationship many footballers have with religion, and former Chelsea centre-half Alex, now of PSG, could find himself public enemy number one for comments he makes about homosexuality.
French daily Le Parisien have published quotes attributed to Alex on the upcoming Canal+ show, in which the 31-year-old comments “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Yves.”
Marcos Ceara, another Brazilian defender who was at PSG from 2007-12, also reportedly spouts some hurtful comments on the show, saying “I am against divorce and abortion. I’m not really for homosexuality.”
The quotes coming out of France come on the same day as Thomas Hitzlsperger became first prominent German footballer to announce he is gay.
