As was the case for a number of players this weekend, their first game after big money moves were for their national teams in crucial World Cup qualifying matches.
Marouane Fellaini, just days after signing for Manchester United from Everton, played 68 minutes for Belgium against Scotland on Friday night.
The afro-haired midfielder played on the left of a midfield three and was a big presence in the middle of the park in a 2-0 win.
Fellaini was tidy in possession and a presence in both boxes – which Manchester United will surely benefit from in the weeks to come.
Below is an interview with Marouane Fellaini on his hopes for the season to come.
