Signed by Arsenal from Chelsea this summer, Petr Cech has not got off to the ideal start to life in North London.
Despite having an amazing pre-season in which he won three trophies in three games, the Czech goalkeeper was at fault for both goals in last week’s shock 2-0 opening day defeat to West Ham.
Petr Cech was in goal again for the trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon and let in the home side’s first shot on target.
Considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world just months ago, the 33-year-old’s reputation is taking something of a battering since joining the Gunners.
Arsenal and Crystal Palace were level at 1-1 at half time, after Olivier Giroud has earlier produced an acrobatic volley to give the visitors the lead.
Despite not being at fault for the goal, Petr Cech was mocked endlessly on Twitter. We’ve collated the best tweets below.

Signing cech was a stroke of genius. Putting a clause in his contract that all shots on target must go in was probably silly in retrospect

Petr Cech has now conceded more goals (3) in two Premier League games for Arsenal than he did in his previous 9 for Chelsea combined (2).

Arsenal average 2.23 points per game with Ospina in Goal. Should he start ahead of Cech? pic.twitter.com/symEycuzL5

I somehow don't see Mourinho selling a player to his title rivals that would strengthen them. No matter how loyal he's been over the years.

Cech was our saviour 8 days ago & now I'm seeing people turn on him. Would hate to be in the trenches with some of you lot. Embarrassing.

Petr Cech is pretty average when there isn't 10 defenders in front of him
