Arsenal’s Prodigal Son Niklas Bendtner returned for Denmark tonight after a 6-month drink driving ban, and it was like he’d never left.
Bendtner scored a brilliant brace, which would have seemed all the more epic had it gone on to prove a victorious one, but a late Aquilani equaliser stole his thunder, while also denting Denmark’s outside play-off chances.
Denmark’s 2nd was particularly impressive, showing awesome Hangtime as he rose above the Italian defence to power home with his forehead, giving Morten Olsen’s men the lead in the 79th minute.
His celebration was euphoric, removing his shirt and earning a booking for his troubles, but he couldn’t have cared less!
