MLB: 2025 All-Star Game Starters Revealed

Major League Baseball announced the starters for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, which will be held in Atlanta’s Truist Park on July 15th.

The Yankees’ Aaron Judge and the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani already received automatic bids to the Midsummer Classic. Yesterday, we found out the other starters who will be filling out the American League and National League rosters. The Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers led all teams with three starters apiece. Also, this year’s game will feature nine first-time starters.

Let’s run down the list and see who will be representing the AL and the NL.

American League

Catcher: Cal Raleigh, Mariners (first All-Star Game)

First base: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays (fifth All-Star Game, fifth straight appearance)

Second base: Gleyber Torres, Tigers (third All-Star Game, first appearance since 2019)

Shortstop: Jacob Wilson, Athletics (first All-Star Game)

Third base: José Ramírez, Guardians (seventh All-Star Game, fifth straight appearance)

Designated hitter: Ryan O’Hearn, Orioles (first All-Star Game)

Outfield: (C) Aaron Judge, Yankees (seventh All-Star Game, fifth straight appearance); Riley Greene, Tigers (second All-Star Game, second straight appearance); Javier Báez, Tigers (third All-Star Game, first appearance since 2019)

National League

Catcher: Will Smith, Dodgers (third All-Star Game, first time being named a starter)

First base: Freddie Freeman, Dodgers (ninth All-Star Game, fifth straight appearance)

Second base: Ketel Marte, Diamondbacks (third All-Star Game, second straight appearance)

Shortstop: Francisco Lindor, Mets (fifth All-Star Game, first appearance since 2019)

Third base: Manny Machado, Padres (seventh All-Star Game, first appearance since 2022)

Designated hitter: (C) Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers (fifth All-Star Game, fifth straight appearance)

Outfield: Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves (fifth All-Star Game, fifth time being named a starter); Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs (first All-Star Game);  Kyle Tucker, Cubs (fourth All-Star Game, fourth-straight appearance)

The other pitchers and reserve players will be selected via a “Player Ballot” that will be voted on by the Commissioner’s Office. The final results for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game rosters will be unveiled on July 6th at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
