An update on the future of potential Arsenal forward target Lautaro Martinez has arisen courtesy of his agent this week, as the Argentine’s entourage seemingly confirmed that he will be staying at Inter Milan this summer.
Martinez was linked with a move to the Gunners in the Summer of 2021, and at that time had a contract expiring in 2023, which made a move seem possible as Inter desperately looked to raise funds.
However, the Argentine since signed a new deal at San Siro, keeping him at the club until 2026 if all goes to plan.

And, according to the striker’s agent, that is his dream, shooting down interest from other parties in the process.
‘He is staying at Inter’, Martinez’s agent told Calciomercarto (via Football Italia).
‘Lautaro has a five-year contract with Inter, he feels like an Interista. Inter are the team in his heart. He feels like an extra fan on the pitch.’
Who else are Arsenal targeting?
Arsenal are known to be in the market for a striker this summer, and have been looking at a variety of options. Their first choice target Dusan Vlahovic joined Juventus in January, while they were also linked with Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak and Lille’s Jonathan David.

Other targets could appear over the course of the remainder of the season, with Amine Gouiri (currently at OGC Nice) a firm fan favourite among the north London faithful.
