Sassuolo vs Hellas Verona preview

Hellas Verona will look to kick on even more after their stunning start to the season sees them up into fourth and into the next round of the Coppa Italia ahead of a trip to the Mapei Stadium where Sassuolo are in last place.

Verona finished above the relegation zone by just goals difference last time out, but they now head into this one having stunned Roma 3-1 last weekend with a goal each from Cyril Ngonge and Ondrej Duda – Isak Hien was also sent off that day and misses this game.

Another victory came away to Empoli for the club with a finish from Ferderico Bonazzoli in the 75th minute, which also came a week on from defeating Ascoli 3-1 in the first round of the Coppa Italia.

As for Sassuolo, they have conceded two goals in their three games so far after a loss to Napoli last time out where Maxime Lopez was sent off in the second half of a 2-0 win.

The club also lost to Atalanta at home just before this, and their only win so far has been over Cosenza in the Coppa Italia first round.
