Top meets bottom in Serie A as Cremonese head to Naples where the away side are still winless in Serie A despite a stunning run of form in the Coppa Italia that now sees them into the semi-finals against Fiorentina.
Part of this incredible run for the last-placed Serie A side saw them be just one of three teams in all competitions to actually beat Napoli this season alongside Liverpool and Empoli. Cremonese beat them on penalties in Naples and it will go down as one of the upsets of the season.
However, back in Serie A, they couldn’t be further away. Their record-breaking run of winless games has now extended to 21 games after a 2-0 loss to Lecce last time out. It now means they are on just eight points this campaign and already 11 adrift of Spezia in 17th.
At the complete opposite end, Napoli are coming into this one after easing past Spezia 3-0 away from home to now bring them onto 18 wins from 21 games. In fact, with 15 goals let in, they’ve conceded the same amount of goals that Cremonese have scored.
The league leaders are still 13 clear of Inter Milan in second and it is now doubt just a matter of time until they are the champions.
