Lazio vs Torino preview
Lazio’s job to stay in the top three has got even tougher this week with the breaking news in Serie A seeing Juventus move up into third with Maurizio Sarri’s men set to welcome Torino to the Stadio Olimpico this Saturday.
Lazio’s efforts to finish second are still keeping them two points above Juventus in the table, but they could find themselves falling into third as a result of the 15-point reimbursement.
The Rome side did actually beat Juventus two weeks ago after goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Mattia Zaccagni. Lazio also beat Spezia 3-0 away from home last weekend after a goal each from Felipe Anderson, Marcos Antonio and Ciro Immobile.
Torino are down into 11th after a draw with Salernitana last weekend that saw Antonio Sanabria score another goal in what is turning out to be one of his best-ever seasons.
It does now keep them 12 points behind the top six and with Atalanta dropping into seventh because of Juventus’ reversed 15-point deduction, it’s doubtful the Turin side will finish any higher than eighth.
