Scudetto holders AC Milan will be hoping to put the disappointment of midweek endeavours on the continent firmly behind them this weekend, courtesy of a return to winning ways in Serie A.

This comes as the Rossoneri prepare to make the trip to a Hellas Verona outfit in the thick of the battle against relegation.

Milan, all told, are in the midst of a shaky recent spell of form.

On the back of a hugely underwhelming opening to the campaign, culminating in just a solitary win from nine, the powers that be at the Stadio Bentegodi this week decided that the time had come to part ways with boss Gabriele Cioffi.

This comes after a trip to Salernitana last time out ended in heartbreaking fashion, upon Boulaye Dia condemning Verona to defeat courtesy of a 94th-minute winner.
