Match preview

Celtic seem simply unstoppable right now.

On Sunday, the Hoops recorded their biggest-ever away league victory, demolishing Dundee United 9-0 at Tannadice.

Kyōgo Furuhashi and Liel Abada both leaving with a matchball, while Jota, Josip Juranović and Carl Starfelt also netted.

This means Ange Postecoglou’s side have won all five Premiership matches so far, scoring 21 goals.

The champions are two points clear of Rangers, with those two meeting at Parkhead on Saturday.

Three days later, the Celts welcome Real Madrid to Glasgow’s East End, with those two meeting for the first time since 1980.

Ross County meanwhile are the only team who’ve managed to score against the Hoops this season, doing so in a 3-1 home defeat 25 days ago.

At the weekend, the Staggies were demolished 4-0 by Rangers at Ibrox, mustering just four shots to their host’s 32.

This leaves Malky Mackay’s men second bottom, their only victory to date coming against Kilmarnock the weekend before.

Celtic’s last two defeats in the League Cup both came at the hands of Ross County, in the quarter-finals in January 2016 and in this round two years ago.

So, the Bhoys were last eliminated from this competition to anyone else 3,263 days ago.

Will the holders march on with victory in Dingwall?
