Brentford vs Everton betting tips: Premier League preview, prediction and odds

Tip of the game

Match Preview

Brentford are back on home soil after the losing to Fulham away from home last weekend where a goal from Christian Norgaard and Ivan Toney was not enough to get any points ahead of Everton coming to town this Saturday.

The Bees are still living off the high when they destroyed Manchester United 4-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium two weeks ago, where Thomas Frank saw his side score four times inside the first half.

A draw with Leicester City on the opening weekend keeps the club in eighth now, and with Frank’s men easing past Colchester United in the EFL Cup in midweek, they have only lost one game from the four so far and look relatively comfortable once again in the top flight.

As for Everton, they finally got their first win of the season in midweek against Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup, where Demarai Gray scored the game’s only goal in what was another lacklustre attacking display from the Toffees.

Gray also scored last weekend to overturn Nottingham Forest’s one-goal lead, where Frank Lampard’s side survived another scare. However, it keeps the club winless in the league this season after defeats to Aston Villa and Chelsea so far.

If Brentford can produce a similar performance to the one shown against United, they should win here. Everton’s chances to win the game are also not helped by the fact the likes of Yerry Mina, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure make up a lengthy injury list for Lampard, with Tom Davies now joining them in the physio room after an injury against Fleetwood.
