Manchester United have learned how much they would have to cough up to land AS Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.
The Red Devils have previously been linked with the centre-back, with it reported back in 2020 that the Manchester outfit saw a €25m bid rejected by Monaco:
AS #Monaco have rejected a €25m offer from Manchester #United for defender Benoît #Badiashile – Niko Kovac has told his board that he wants to keep the Frenchman & that they should reject all bids for him

And now, as Badiashile continues to impress, precisely how much United would have to pay to land the 20-year-old has been revealed.
As per The Sun, who also point towards the Reds’ previous bid in 2020, Manchester United will have to offer Monaco at least £40m to regain pole position in the race to sign Badiashile.

Who is Benoit Badiashile?
Badiashile is a product of AS Monaco’s youth system.
Despite his tender years, the youngster spent the last couple of seasons slowly pushing his way into Monaco’s senior set-up, courtesy of some impressive displays.
Across 2018/19 and 2019/20 combined, he racked up 36 Ligue 1 appearances.
And, last season, the Frenchman managed to establish himself as a key cog in Monaco’s backline, garnering 35 appearances in the French top-flight, across which he scored two and assisted one.
So far this term, meanwhile, Badiashile has featured 20 times for Monaco.
The defender’s standout displays have also seen him carve out a role for himself as a regular starter for France’s youth teams, including at under-19 and under-21 level, where he has already garnered a number of appearances.
