Liverpool & Arsenal boost as Real Madrid put player up for sale

Real Madrid have put a player up for sale ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are ready to let Aurelien Tchouameni leave the club.

This has alerted Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal to the possibility of a transfer.

It is added that Los Blancos ‘would welcome the departure’ of the 23-year-old, just 12 months on from a €80m move from AS Monaco.

However, previous reports on the French midfielder have suggested that he has something of an attitude problem, which is part of why Madrid are looking to move him on already.

Given his potential, though, it may be a risk worth taking for the aforementioned Premier League sides.

Tchouameni was one of the most consistent defensive midfielders in Ligue 1 for two years before his move to Spain, topping the charts when it came to tackles and interceptions.

A stumbling block is likely to be his price, though, unless Real Madrid are willing to sell him for a fair bit less than the €80m they paid for him.

Liverpool likely need two midfielders this summer, so spending €80m or more on Tchouameni would limit their ability to sign a second player.
