Fatal blow for Real Madrid? Major PSG-Kylian Mbappe claims spread

Word stemming from the French media late on Monday points towards Real Madrid’s ongoing pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe being dealt a potentially fatal blow.

The headline news surrounding ongoings at the Bernabeu last summer of course came in the form of Real’s pursuit of Mbappe.

Despite the French international having had just a year to run on his contract with PSG, it is understood that Los Blancos tabled a mammoth offer worth €170 million, plus a further 10 million in bonuses, for his signature.

Remarkably, however, the board at the Parc des Princes opted to knock this proposal back.

Staying put?

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word emanating from his home country of France on Monday night is anything to go by, then, in fact, a twist in the tale may yet be imminent.

The info comes courtesy of journalist Daniel Riolo of RMC Sport, the same reporter who pointed towards Lionel Messi preparing to take his talents to Paris a full six months prior to the move actually coming to fruition.

Now, Riolo has, without any measure of doubt, assured that Mbappe is in fact set to remain at PSG.

The Frenchman has suggested that the prolific youngster is simply biding his time, ahead of announcing next month that he will put pen-to-paper on fresh terms at the Parc des Princes.

Word of Mbappe’s apparent change of heart of course comes fresh on the back of the former Monaco man, just last night, providing the PSG faithful with renewed hope.

After lighting up a Ligue 1 win over Lorient courtesy of a direct hand in all five of his side’s goals, Mbappe assured that he remains very much open to the possibility of staying put in the French capital:
