Tottenham 2 – Everton 2
Spurs ended their 2018-19 Premier League season with a 2-2 draw at home against Everton.
As a result, Tottenham finished the campaign in fourth place in the table.
Chelsea finished above Tottenham even though the Pensioners were held to a 0-0 draw against Leicester on the final day.
Eric Dier opened for the Lilywhites versus Everton after just three minutes.
However, the visitors then took control of the match with goals from Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun in the second-half.
Christian Eriksen earned Tottenham a share of the spoils, though, scoring in the 75th minute.
Dele Alli fitness update before Liverpool
Dele Alli started the Everton match. However, the England international was subbed out of the game at the break.
Alli was replaced by Victor Wanyama at half-time.
With the Champions League final against Liverpool a few weeks away, is Alli an injury concern for Spurs?
After the Everton game, Mauricio Pochettino discussed why Alli came off against the Toffees:
He was feeling strange and then his performance was very poor in the first-half so because of caution, he was out.
I think it is not a problem, we need to assess him but I think he was tired for the circumstance.
Working off those quotes, there’s nothing to suggest that Alli will miss the final with Liverpool.
Poch on Dele Alli: “He felt strange in the warm-up and that’s why his performance was so poor in the first half, he couldn’t do what he wanted. We made a change at the break but it’s a small problem.” https://t.co/Uj05fAVins
