Tottenham hire Joao Sacramento from Lille & Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff revealed

Tottenham hire Joao Sacramento

After appointing Jose Mourinho as their manager, Tottenham now need to rebuild their backroom staff.

When Mauricio Pochettino left Spurs on Tuesday, his right-hand men also walked out of the club.

Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antonio Jimenez have all parted company with Spurs this week.

Former Spurs assistant manager Jesus Perez has posted the following goodbye message on social media.

But Tottenham are moving quickly to make fresh appointments before facing West Ham on Saturday.

The Telegraph have confirmed that Joao Sacramento has been hired as Mourinho’s number 2.

Who is Joao Sacramento?

A Portuguese national, Joao Sacramento has joined Tottenham from Lille. The Telegraph report:

Sacramento has joined Mourinho’s new Spurs staff from Lille, where he held the same position under Christophe Galtier.

The Portuguese was previously a technical assistant under Leonardo Jardim at Monaco, before moving to Lille in January 2017.

It’s unclear if Tottenham had to compensate Lille for pinching Sacramento.

Confusion over Silvino Louro

Goalkeeper coach Silvino Louro worked alongside Mourinho at Man United.

Will Silvino Louro be joining Spurs?

The Telegraph say ‘no’, reporting Silvino Louro “is not expected to be part of Tottenham’s new-look backroom team.”

However, the Independent challenge that claim, announcing “Silvino Louro is highly likely to join (Mourinho) once again at Spurs.”
