Revealed: Mauricio Pochettino on Manchester United’s three-man wishlist

Manchester United have identified Mauricio Pochettino, Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte as potential candidates to succeed Jose Mourinho, according to Juventus expert @hashim0307.

The 20-time champions of England have announced this morning that the club have parted company with Mourinho following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Micheal Carrick is acting as interim manager, with a new caretaker manager set to be appointed in the next 48 hours.

United’s three-man wishlist to replace Mourinho

Old Trafford officials are hoping for a big name appointment and understand key targets are unlikely to leave midway through the season.

Heading the list of summer targets is Tottenham Hotspur’s Pochettino, who the club are desperate to bring to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the Argentine coach given his impressive work in North London.

However, the 46-year-old has shown a loyalty to Spurs and is expected to remain there until at least the end of the season.

Allegri is also high up on United’s wishlist, but like Pochettino, he appears to committed to his project.

Following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Bianconeri have been tipped to win the Champions League.

Although, again like the Spurs coach, the Italian’s services could become attainable in the summer.

The third name is Antonio Conte – who has been out of work since his dismissal from Chelsea.

Conte won the Premier League with the Blues in 2017 and has a CV which impresses United.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has urged the club to bring Pochettino to Old Trafford.

Neville believes the Argentine is the perfect fit at United given his key principals.

Neville speaking on Sky Sports said:

“For me the next manager of Man United should be Mauricio Pochettino.

“When I look at values at Man United, I look at his belief in young players.

“His performance levels, style of play, the way he’s carried himself.

“I was fortunate enough to spend two or three days at Tottenham’s training ground.

“My view is he is somebody who brings the three key principals of the club: style of play, promotion of youth and winning football matches.”
