Mikel Arteta provides Leandro Trossard injury update

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has, on Saturday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of attacker Leandro Trossard.

For those who may have missed it amid the chaos at The Emirates earlier today, wide-man Trossard was forced into a premature departure from Arsenal’s Premier League meeting with Bournemouth.

After being afforded his latest starting berth, midway through the first-half of action, the January arrival in north London went to ground with what appeared to be a muscular problem.

Tended to by the hosts’ medical team, it was subsequently decided that Trossard was in no fit state to continue, in turn hauled off to be replaced by Emile Smith Rowe.

Speaking to the media after seeing his side recover from two goals down to steal all three points at the death, Mikel Arteta was therefore asked for the latest on Trossard’s fitness.

And Arsenal’s headmaster went on to reveal that the Belgian is facing up to a potential spell on the sidelines.
