Supporters of two of the giants of the Premier League have taken to social media on Sunday night, to send messages to their respective clubs over the talents of Frenkie de Jong.
Dutch international De Jong, of course, has found himself front and centre in the English media headlines throughout the summer to date.
This comes with the gifted midfielder widely tipped to bring his Barcelona stint to a close ahead of the new campaign, amid ongoing links with both Manchester United and Chelsea.
With Barca back in action this evening, it therefore came as little surprise when fans of the Red Devils and Blues alike tuned in.
And, evidently, supporters of both clubs were left impressed by what they witnessed.
En route to an eventual 6-0 triumph for the evening’s hosts in the latest edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy, De Jong shone bright, even adding his name to the scoresheet late on.
