Head-turning Salah > Ronaldo & Man United stats surface after Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition job

A pair of altogether eye-opening statistics surrounding the production of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah have come to the fore on social media this evening.

Reds run riot

Salah and co. were back in Premier League action a short time ago.

After making it two wins from two post-international break courtesy of a 3-2 downing of Atletico Madrid during the week, the Reds made the trip to Old Trafford, aiming to move within a solitary point of table-topping Chelsea.

And, upon the final whistle sounding in Manchester, to say that they managed precisely that would be putting it lightly.

The latest in a string of scintillating attacking displays ultimately culminated in Liverpool emerging on the right side of a 5-0 scoreline.

The aforementioned Salah stole the show once again, netting a wonderfully-taken hat-trick either side of the interval, whilst Naby Keita and Diogo Jota managed to find the target, too.

Liverpool, in turn, have climbed back up to 2nd in the English top-flight, maintaining their status as the only Premier League club to have remained unbeaten across both domestic and European competition to this point in the campaign.

Magic Mo

The individual in question? Mohamed Salah.

Explosive wide-man Salah was at his unplayable best once again versus United, finding the net for the 10th game running to make it 15 goals across all competitions thus far in 2021/22.

And, as outlined above, owing to his latest match-winning efforts, an altogether head-turning pair of statistics have since come to the fore, surrounding the former AS Roma man.

First, it was revealed that Salah, despite playing half the number of games, has managed two goals more than Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford this calendar year:

Not only that, but, across the 90 minutes this evening, the 29-year-old, on his own, carved out more xG (expected goals) than Manchester United as a collective:
