Fantasy Football managers put at ease as Mohamed Salah statistics back Klopp starting the Liverpool winger against Fulham
Klopp explains Salah’s inclusion
Mohamed Salah’s inclusion in Liverpool’s dead rubber match in midweek against Midtjylland surprised many football fans after Jurgen Klopp’s vocally public irritancy at the congestion and frequency of fixtures.
Speaking after the Red’s 1-1 draw with Brighton, Klopp was drawn into an unbelievable debate with BT Sport’s Des Kelly where the interviewer challenged the German coach on his accusations that broadcasters have an element of responsibility in Liverpool’s injury record.
“Milner[‘s injury] is a hamstring. Congratulations. Maybe ask Chris Wilder about it. [BT] picked the 12.30 kick-off. You did it!” he said.

However, despite Klopp’s frustrations, Salah’s full-match appearance in Denmark has left Fantasy football fans in a quandary as to whether to include the Egyptian ahead of the clash with Fulham this weekend.
The match presents a good opportunity for Salah to pick up serious points with the west London club struggling near the bottom of the Premier League table and having conceded 21 goals in 11 games.
After the game, Klopp said, “In the last line, that was the reason why Fabinho played 45 minutes there. In midfield, usually it would probably have been Naby Keita but he hasn’t played that often so couldn’t fulfil the role and needs minutes now again.”
“That was the decision for Mo and how the game developed and how the game looked, Mo looked fine so that’s why we didn’t take him off.”
The stats say Salah starts
Fantasy managers will however be revealed to learn that Salah has an excellent record of returning to Premier League action after completing 90 minutes of midweek European action.
In fact, in the last three Champions League group stages, Mohamed Salah has started in every single Premier League match after playing the full match in the UCL. Surprisingly, Salah has never missed a league match whatsoever after any Liverpool UCL group stage fixture.

Therefore, according to this, Salah is very likely to continue playing for the Reds and start against Fulham. On December 8th, Fantasy Football also appeared to predict an incoming start of Salah by increasing his price to £12.3m.
