Arsenal & Tottenham eyeing Schar
Newcastle defender Fabian Schar is attracting the interest of both Arsenal and Tottenham, according to the Mirror.
Schar made the move to Newcastle in the summer of 2018, joining from Spanish outfit Deportivo for a fee of around £3.6m.
The 27-year-old has since become a key member of Newcastle’s backline.
Schar has now played 22 games across all competitions this season, scoring three and assisting one in that time.

Newcastle’s latest game saw them take on Everton at home.
The Magpies went 2-0 down thanks to first-half goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison.
However, Rafa Benitez’s side would mount an impressive comeback with the game finishing 3-2.

While Schar has been very impressive recently, he will now miss Newcastle’s next two league games, one of which is against Arsenal.
Schar would pick up his 10th yellow card of the season vs Everton, meaning he is now suspended for two games.

After beating Everton, Newcastle now sit 13th in the Premier League, six points above the relegation zone.
Their next game will see them face 12th place Bournemouth who picked up a win vs Huddersfield on Saturday.
Schar will be absent at the back vs the Cherries and Jamaal Lascelles could be also after being withdrawn vs Everton due to injury.
